Homeless Shelter Night Support Worker

Full-time Positions – Working permanent night shifts as part of a rota system

Starting Salary – £21,216 p.a.

Resolve’s Night Shelter [Homeless] Project

Resolve is a charity providing drug & alcohol support services, sheltered accommodation and support to homeless individuals as part of the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Housing First approach to tackling homelessness. We are looking to fill a number of new positions within our Homeless Project as part of Resolve’s expansion programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with drive, motivation and commitment to join the Resolve Team to deliver our new Homeless Project model support service for homeless individuals as part of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s approach to tackling homelessness. Competent IT skills, effective listening skills and excellent communication skills and a knowledge of homelessness, drug and alcohol harm reduction and treatment services are key requirements.

Shelter Support workers will work a permanent night shift rota providing night waking support for shelter guests, other support, admin and practical support to the project over night as part of Resolve’s Night Shelter and Homeless Offer.

These positions will be initially for one year, with the intention for the project to be extended after this period upon the necessary outcomes being achieved. The Shelter Night Support Worker roles will work as part of Resolve’s wider Homeless Shelter and Outreach Team, the ability to work night shifts/hours according to the needs of the project across the week including weekends and bank/public holidays to ensure staff cover is provided across the entire week is essential. Part-time Project [Key] Worker

Part-time working 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday inclusive
Starting annual salary £12,730 pa (Post is £21,216 p.a. gross pro-rata)

Resolve’s Drug & Alcohol Day Services
Resolve is a charity providing community drug & alcohol treatment & support services for adults across Hertfordshire. We are looking to find the right person to expand our Team at our Day Service based in Welwyn Garden City as part of Resolve’s expansion programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with drive, motivation and commitment to join the Resolve Team to deliver our ever-expanding services. Competent IT skills, effective listening skills and excellent communication skills and a knowledge of homelessness, drug and alcohol harm reduction and treatment services are key requirements.
Project Workers will be responsible for working as part of a larger Team dedicated to supporting people presenting with misuse issues, delivering Resolve Structured Treatment Programme and working to find solutions appropriate to the needs of our beneficiaries.
This position will initially be for one year from the start of the contract, with the intention for the contract to be extended after this period upon the necessary outcomes being achieved and the continuation of funding being secured. As we move into this new period Resolve has been extending our service provision and so we are currently reviewing our service e provision. Accordingly the successful will be able to demonstrate a willingness to work in an ever expending role as the service develops, expands and funding provides, to expand our Staff Team.
